Huger Games Research on "Gladiators"

   

Today when people think of gladiators they think of fighting and violence. But most Roman gladiators started off as civilized people and some were slaves as well. They fought for other peoples entertainment, like the kings and rich people. (Coleman). Gladiators have some what developed over time, but not really if your going to compare it to how it was back then. Now days gladiators are in movies and on television ect. ("Who Were the Roman Gladiators"). Gladiators would either fight to the death or fight till so one takes defeat.(Gladiators: Heroes of the Roman Amphitheatre).

Gladiators are connected to Huger Games by the way they have to fight till someone is the last one standing, someone is going to die at the end of the games or the battle. Roman gladiators were more violent then the people in the Huger Games, lots of more hate and blood when they fought rather than the people chossen in the Huger Games. In the Huger Games the killing was painful to watch the gladitors killed and was more trained than the Huger Games trubutes. It was like the gladiators had nothing to live for, but to fight. The gladiators where also chossen like the tributes in the Huger Games, gladiors usually vilonteered, and most were slaves. But in the Hugers Games Katnis was really the only one who vilonteered, the games were made by the game makers, just like how the Kings invented the gladiator games. Both were made for entertainment uses, most didn't enjoy watching people dieing, it was really for the Capital people and the uper hand people like the Kings&Queens.  (Ancient History in Depth: Gladiators: Heroes of the Roman Amphitheatre.) I have learned that the Huger Games and Gladiators have a lot in common and are very similare to one another, and I am very happy that I learned so much about them both.

My Huger Games Rap

Chapters 21-22

These chapters are really interesting, they have action but really a lot talks about Katnis&Peeta's love situation. They are really heading forward with there little love lige they have going on, but i think Katnis has feelings for Gale as well as Peeta at the same time. I don't which one she would pick but they are very different from one another. We will see hopefully soon though........!

Katnis&Petta

Katnis and Peeta are lovers, but I dont think she can believe him all the way yet.. I like Gale better and he is way cooler and trust worthy unlike Petta. Maybe she will see that ready to find out soon...!!!!!!!!!!!

Huger Games 19-20 chapters Response

Peeta is in a really bad shape and Katnis who is taking good care of him is really cqtching feelings for him. And Petta has them for her as well, and as they go on with the games it seems like they get weaker and weaker for each other. I think they will try to win the games together but its not going to be easy with the way things are going and how Peeta is in his form. Some how, someway they will do something to figure it out their selves......

Chapter 18 Response

I didnt expect rue to die this soon, but i figured she would. Now i think Katnis will win the game for her and Rue. Its not going to be easy with the capitol people and the career people. But i think her and Peeta will join together and fight them all off and win but it could go bad ready to see.

Hunger Games Response

I think so far the huger game have been kinda waht u would expect, but the again its been a lot of surprsies. Like Peeta making an alience with the career people, but then when its time for them  to kill Katnis he doesn't do it and tells her to "run". Just a lot going on that u wouldn't expect from what u read in the book earlier. Although this book is very interesting, and is really getting good.

Would I Volunteer for the Huger Games?

Yes&No: Beacuse i wouldn't want to die, but at the same time i would fight for my people if i needed to. The Huger Games seem like they would be scary and dagerous, but a little interesting aswell.
