A little part of my life.

Hello, My name is Daryus Estes, and I'm from Martinsville Virginia. I was born on March 5th, 1998 at memorial hospital. When I was born everyone pitched in to help take care of me. Like my Mother, Father, Grandmother, my two Uncles, and my Aunt. I'm 14 now but my Grandmother(R.I.P) is longer with me. I know she's in heaven looking over me every day. First it was hard, for everone who were related or knew her, but it was especialy hard for my Mom and Aunt. But now we just look at the good times we had when she was here and just think about what she would do if she was still here. Now, for me; everything I do is for my Grandmother. She always told me to follow my dreams, and thats what I plan on doing. That dream is to be a professional basketball player in the NBA. But first I want to make it to college and get my degree in sports medicine, cause I know that would make my Grandmother and the rest of my family pround. "School is first, then comes sports"; that what my Gradmother would always say. If I keep working hard and chase my dreams, then I know I will make my Grandmother pround.

My top three post(s) that I think are:
1. Road to success
2. Freestyle
3. Hunger Games Research on Gladiators

Road to success; because I put a lot of thinking into that piece. I put a lot of time in that even though it was a short post. I put more effort then I did in a lot of mt other pieces, not saying that I didn't put in effort for the other ones. Say things like "clutchin on my madic, but I’m stuck in traffic". I really thought that was pretty creative.

Freestyle; I was a big thinker when I was making this one. Because most of it was off the top of my head, and I just went with it. I learn a lot before this piece, so this one really shows how much I learned over time.

Huger Games Reasearch on Gladiators; I really took my time on that post. It took me a lot of time to find research on gladiators. I took my time and put a lot of work on this project, so I guess you could say my hard work paid off.

Freestyle

LYRICS;
I look at life with great reality, and then take it with no relief, always on top looking above it all, never really looking to fall, yet you have your up and downs, but you still have your honor and crown, pound to pound them haters tring to knock you down, I only trust a select few, but its not much to do, Me with no remarks, same ole mind-set got to stay sharp.... Always working staying on my grind, only way to do it, only way for me to shine, like the 4th quater boy its crunch time, Its mine to get, get it and get rich, success is the highway, so I'm on its bypass, always first never last, avoiding that big crash, I can see it in my review dash, I'm got a date with perfection every day and night, then me and success will be just right, we never loose or far apart, we buildboarding on ever chart, young dude in his early teens but i knew succes since I been here, really only two people i fear, God&My shadow, boy I been blessed, you see my ha-low.!...........

Road to success

I’m on the road to success, staying in my own lane, got no mercy or pain, life is no game, yea  you got to shoot at it but first ya got to aim. My future so bright, that its like stars in the moon light. I got to work hard and go get it, so one day I can say I did it, success in my arm reach, I can see it right there, grab it and meet my dreams in mid-air, clutchin on my madic, but I’m stuck in traffic just pray for me, hated by many loved by lots cause I’m that guy calling the shots, so I tell them all to kick rocks, my future so bright it might blind you, so I’m go stick to it like super glue, running over all obstacles, making my dreams possible, going to the top is never impossible, cause when your on top all dreams are logical...... ~Lil Daze

My First Basketball Championship

When I was 9years old I won my first ever basketball championship. It was my second year of AAU basketball.
My team was full of 9&10 year olds and we were pretty good going into the tournerment, but we were still the under dogs beacause no onw expected us to win the championship. My number was 7, which was my favorite number but it just so happened that it was one of the numbers i couls choose from, and no one else wanted it.
I had good relationships with all the other players and my coaches so everything was good. But the one person on my team I had the best relationship with was my cousin Stink well thats what we all called him and still do to this day. We were real close, when I got the number 7 he got the next closest number they had avalible which was 15. Stink was a year older than me at the time, and we were the best two players on the team well thats what all the coaches said. And this year everyone expected us to carry the team.
So Stink and myself both averaged almost 20 points a game in the tournerment, and we lead the team the championship.
In the first half Stink had 8 points and i had 5pts, we really didn't score well in the first half. But it was still a pretty close game, the score was 25-31 and we were losing. Although we didnt score much in the first half we both had 5 assist and 10 rebounds appeice. By the end of the third quater we were down 40-48, but by the last minute of the fourth quater we took a 50-53 lead with 45 seconds left.
By the time it was 6 seconds left the score was 52-53 with us up by one point, and the other team had to foul. And guess who they fouled. Me!! It was a lot of pressure but I knocked down both free throws to give a three point lead. The score was 52-55.
They had no timeouts left so they had to go for three, so they pushed the ball and went for three but didnt get a shot off because Stink stole the ball from there point guard to win us the game.
We won our championship game with Stink and I getting Co-MVP's. He finished with 24points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals, and 6 assist. And I finished I finished with 21points, 11 rebouds, and 12 assist.
And thats how I won my first ever basketball championship.
